Lady Gaga's Indonesian Flash Mob Made Her 'Cry So Hard'

'You are the best fans,' Gaga tweets after fans pay tribute following cancellation of her Jakarta concert.

Late last month, <a href=http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml>Lady Gaga</a> was forced to cancel her <a href="/news/articles/1685874/lady-gaga-indonesian-concert.jhtml">June 3 concert in Jakarta, Indonesia</a>, after protests from Islamic groups led to national police denying her a permit for the show. But now, a different group of Indonesians has taken to the street, this time to show their support for the Mother Monster. And it's left Gaga in tears.In a show of solidarity and support, 91 of Gaga's biggest, bravest fans — dubbed the Indonesian Little Monsters — gathered at Jakarta's Ex Plaza Indonesia shopping center for a flash-mob tribute to the singer. They were dressed to the nines in their Gaga finest, breaking into a choreographed dance number while surprised shoppers looked on — and filmed the entire routine on their camera phones.In the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWqe6EozGro" target="_blank">10-minute video</a>, uploaded on Saturday, the group grooves to Gaga hits like "Telephone," "Bad Romance" and "Judas" before triumphantly embracing at the performance's end. And as if their routine didn't serve as a loud enough rebuke against the nation's conservative Islamic groups, the Indonesian Monsters end the clip with a message to both those groups and to Gaga herself, writing:"Tons of rejection and hatred are everywhere. But still, we will always [get] your back. We respect your decision [to cancel] BTW Ball, and it doesn't change how much we love you. We love you, Mother Monster, 'til the end."Understandably, Gaga was moved by the outpouring of support, posting the video on her Twitter account, along with a <a href="https://twitter.com/ladygaga/status/209557682728878080" target="_blank">response</a> to her Indonesian Monsters."This made me cry so hard," Gaga wrote. "I love you so much. You are the best fans in the world."

The dress showed off her fit, curvaceous post-baby body. The singer has added a fourth show to her Memorial Day weekend residency at the Revel entertainment center in the New Jersey shore town. On his seventh studio effort, <a href="/news/articles/1686990/usher-looking-4-myself-evolution.jhtml">Looking 4 Myself</a>, the R&B star broadened his horizons, taking a chance on some new producers, which resulted in a unique — what he calls <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/03/30/ushers-looking-for-myself-album-june/">"revolutionary pop"</a> — sound.Teaming up with DJ/producers <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/swedish_house_mafia/artist.jhtml">Swedish House Mafia</a> and Salaam Remi, Usher enriched his genre-breaking sound on this album, especially with the artistic and sultry first single, <a href="/news/articles/1682000/climax-usher-diplo.jhtml">"Climax,"</a> produced by Diplo.<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Usher Wanted To 'Challenge' Himself On 'Looking 4 Myself'" id="vid:789774.id:1686957" width="415" height="255"></div>"I never would have imagined that me and Diplo would have created as much incredible music as we did," Usher recently told MTV News. <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/kesha_/artist.jhtml">Kesha</a> has joined forces with the Human Rights Campaign to help celebrate National Coming Out Day on Tuesday (October 11).The pop singer created a special message T-shirt, featuring a purple zebra, that <a href="/news/articles/1653432/kehas-we-r-who-we-r-video-hot-dangerous.jhtml">proclaims "We R Who We R,"</a> the title of her hit anthem about individuality. The shirts sell for $35, with all proceeds supporting the HRC's work to achieve equality for the LGBT community.According to the <a href="http://www.hrc.org/press-releases/entry/human-rights-campaign-unveils-t-shirt-collaboration-with-kesha" target="_blank">HRC website</a>, only 1,000 shirts will be produced.Others are also using the day to bring awareness to LGBT issues. "Like every group that's been marginalized, it really helps to make the case why we should take real pride in ourselves and our community."Since launching the program five years ago, over 200 icons have been profiled, including Jane Lynch, Lady Gaga and Neil Patrick Harris. Lazin called LGBT month "empowering and life affirming."The message comes amid increased awareness about young people being bullied, including MTV's <a href="http://www.athinline.org">A Thin Line</a> campaign. Usher's Stepson Declared Brain Dead After Jet-Ski Accident

Things went from bad to worse for Kyle Glover, Usher's 11-year-old stepson. After a tragic Jet Ski accident left the <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/07/08/ushers-son-injured-in-jet-ski-accident/">youngster in critical condition</a> on Friday, doctors have now declared him brain dead.<a href="http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/08/usher-tameka-foster-stepson-brain-dead/" target=="_blank">TMZ</a> is reporting that Glover, who is the son of Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Foster, has not experienced any brain activity since he was admitted into the hospital two days ago. According to reports, the pre-teen and a friend were floating in inner tubes on Lake Lanier in Atlanta when they were struck by a man on a Jet Ski. Glover was unresponsive when he was taken out of the water and airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston; his friend, an unidentified 15-year old girl, was treated for a cut on the head and a broken arm.According to the <a href="http://www.ajc.com/news/reports-ushers-stepson-injured-1473926.html" target="_blank">Atlanta Journal-Constitution,</a> the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said that alcohol doesn't appear to have been a factor in the accident and the newspaper also reported that the man on the Jet Ski and Glover were part of the same group on an outing at the lake.Foster and Usher (born Usher Raymond) were married in 2007 but divorced in 2009. The two are reportedly both present at the hospital.Many of Usher and Foster's celebrity friends took to Twitter on Sunday (July 8) to express their deepest sympathies."My deepest prayers go out to Tameka, Usher and both of their families right now," Diggy Simmons wrote."Wishing @TamekaRaymond's son godspeed recovery. horrible news to hear," Roots drummer Questlove added, while television personality La La Anthony wrote: "Praying for @TamekaRaymond and her family. Asking to give her and her family strength during this difficult time. Time is ticking. It's only a matter of hours until <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a> makes her post-<a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/01/09/jay-z-dedicates-bic-song-to-baby-blue-ivy-carter">Blue Ivy Carter</a> performance comeback with her string of <a href="/news/articles/1681308/beyonce-memorial-day-atlantic-city-shows.jhtml">Memorial Day weekend shows</a> at Atlantic City's recently launched Revel entertainment center. And with anticipation high, the pop titan is giving her fans a small taste of the behind-the-scenes action it took to transition back to her stage show ways.In the first of a two-part video montage segment that was posted on the singer's <a href="http://www.beyonce.com/news/the-making-of-a-concert-part-1" target="_blank">website</a>, Queen B is seen working hard almost two months prior to the gigs on everything from choreography to show concept and vocal rehearsing.<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Beyoncé - "Love on Top"" id="vid:702484" width="415" height="255"></div>Despite admitting a few nerves and her inclusion in the pop-star-turned-mom club, Beyoncé remained adamant about her return to the stage, "I'm enjoying being a mother, so it's like going back to my old job. It's a little strange, but it's important that you don't lose yourself and have your own passions. I'm back to work. I'm back to business."It's the first of many candid moments in which the singer opens up and allows camera lenses to document the planning of the concerts. And by the looks of it, the chart-topper will be giving it her all. At one point, Beyoncé is seen sitting on the floor with her crew of dancers conceptualizing the event. "What I'm trying to say with the show ... yes, I had a baby, but it just made me more grounded," she says.In comparison to her intimate <a href="/news/articles/1669179/beyonce-roseland-ballroom-concert-new-york.jhtml">four-night affair</a> at New York's Roseland Ballroom in August 2011, the Revel shows are expected to be much more of a grand spectacle, with high-tech LED, intense choreography and video backdrops.Positivity goes a long way, as her choreographer Frank Gatson Jr. co-signs the singer's intent to create a stellar event. "I think this show has the potential to be one of the greatest shows we've done. <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> ended a recent interview with radio show Mojo in the Morning after the show's host, Mojo, asked if he was afraid One Direction's Harry Styles might end up seducing his mother, given his <a href="/news/articles/1683999/one-direction-harry-styles-celebrity-crushes.jhtml">penchant for older women</a>. It was a question the 18-year-old pop star didn't find amusing."I mean, definitely somewhat [I am friends with One Direction now]. They were in town a while ago and they came over and stuff, but, yeah, they're good kids," he said when asked about his friendship with the Brit boy banders, before adding, "I don't think you should worry about me [and my mom with Harry Styles] — worry about your mom, bro."<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber Proving His Haters Wrong With 'Good Music'" id="vid:793035.id:1687833" width="415" height="255"></div>Mojo then noted that his mother had passed away, before Bieber hung up on the call. The interview has since been taken off the <a href="http://www.mojointhemorning.com/pages/show_archive.html?feed=184218&article=10238007" target="_blank">show's official site</a>, but found its way onto <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABf0tVHCFXU&feature=youtu.be" target="_blank">YouTube</a>. It wasn't the only contentious part of the interview. Prior to that, Bieber seemed to be annoyed that Mojo had compared his <a href="/news/articles/1684462/justin-bieber-boyfriend-nsync.jhtml">single, "Boyfriend," to the musical stylings of Justin Timberlake</a>."Man, that's crazy 'cause our voices sound nothing alike. I mean, I'm not trying to sound like anyone. Saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment. ... I think if you were to say I heard some Justin Timberlake-esque things in your sound I would take that as a compliment," he said."Justin Timberlake is definitely really talented and is similar because he's white and he's singing pop, R&B," he continued, mirroring a comment his manager Scooter Braun recently made about <a href="/news/articles/1688037/justin-bieber-vs-justin-timberlake.jhtml">the comparison</a>. "I think we both have the type of edge. I definitely want to have my own lane and not be compared. But I think he is super, super-talented."On Saturday, Mojo tweeted that he had been suspended in response to the interview; Clear Channel, which broadcasts his show, said in a statement to industry trade magazine <a href="http://www.radioink.com/Article.asp?id=2485628&spid=24698" target="_blank">Radio Ink</a> that "As a policy we don't comment on personnel matters." Clear Channel had yet to respond to MTV News' request for comment by press time. Performing at the International Dance Music Awards in Miami in March and launching her first music video for her club single <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_VcKTkY4Vk" target="_blank">"Inside Out"</a> are just two of Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter NiRé AllDai's endeavors since first stepping out as an artist. Her journey, which today sees her selecting songs — including tracks produced by Timbaland and the Stargate camp — for her upcoming debut album, actually began as a writer for other producers and artists."I've always been an artist," NiRé told MTV News. "But my manager was like, 'Let's work this [writer] angle,' and it worked well because I was able to build a lot of really great relationships with dope producers who ended up helping me on my project."<div class="player-placeholder right" title="NiRé AllDai Readies Debut Album" id="vid:789067" width="415" height="255"></div>"I did a first single for Starshell, who was Mary J. Blige's first artist, and the single was called 'SuperLuva' [produced by Fernando Garibay]," NiRé continued. "I had a chance to write with Mary and Swizz [Beatz] and Timbaland and Dr. Dre, who's a really good friend of mine."After getting her writing chops up, meeting the right management and finding her A&R at Capitol Records, NiRé was ready to give it her all for a chance to perform for the masses. Her fearlessness, fashion and electricity are depicted vividly in her video for "Inside Out," which was directed by <a href="http://londonalley.com/?director=hannah-lux-davis" target="_blank">Hannah Lux Davis</a>, who also directed videos for Shinedown and Anjulie, among others. NiRé is inspired by some of music's biggest, baddest stars, included among them Missy Elliott, Lil Wayne, and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a>."Beyoncé is the perfect example of what a solo artist should strive for," NiRé said. Wondering what <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> plans to call her next album? Well, you're going to have to wait through the summer to find out. The singer, currently on her <a href="/news/articles/1675458/lady-gaga-next-album.jhtml">controversial Born This Way Tour</a>, <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/ladygaga" target="_blank">tweeted</a> that she will make the announcement this fall. "Exciting news little monsters! I've played my new record for my label and will be announcing my new Album Title in September! X," she wrote.<div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga Has The Title And Concept For Her Next Album" id="vid:717202" width="415" height="255"></div>Gaga has, in fact, been playing the record for her bosses and inner circle. She also revealed on Twitter that she spun the new music, her follow-up to 2011's Born This Way, for her longtime pal Lady Starlight. And her co-manager Vincent Herbert had some of his own <a href="/news/articles/1686196/lady-gaga-new-album.jhtml">teases for Little Monsters</a> in an interview he gave late last month."[It's] just [an] insane, great record. She's on tour right now, but it's just going to be a great record. Look out for the unexpected when it comes to her," he said. "We're doing it on the road right now, so it's a little hard, but it's going to be great."Though it's unclear how far along in the recording process she is for the release, in an interview with MTV News in December, she already had the <a href="/news/articles/1675458/lady-gaga-next-album.jhtml">highly anticipated album title</a> in mind. "I've started writing it and I have the name for it and all the concepts are beginning to flourish and take place," she said. "I'm excited to put it out, but it's not done yet. So I'll put it out when it's done."Her producer, Fernando Garibay, confirmed in a separate interview last year that Mother Monster would be working on the album while on tour. "I get a little bit of anxiety thinking about that right now. I wanna just always try to outdo ourselves, our songs. They're already incredible songs. But I feel like she's so young," he said, adding that at the time, the record was in its early stages and that "there's a lot of room to grow.""The last record we made in bus stops and hotel rooms," he said. "Wherever she's at, we'll make it."

Justin Bieber Nabs Year's Biggest Chart Debut With Believe

Bieber's latest sold more than 374,000 copies in its first week, edging Madonna's MDNA to claim the title of year's biggest bow.

Most <a href="/news/articles/1687988/justin-bieber-believe-album-sales.jhtml">predicted it</a>, and now it's official: Justin Bieber's Believe scored the year's biggest chart debut, selling more than 374,000 copies and blasting the competition on the Billboard Top 200.Believe — Bieber's fourth album to debut at #1 — slightly edged Madonna's MDNA, which sold 359,000 copies when it was released in late March, to claim the title of year's biggest bow, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It's also the best first-week number any album has posted since Adele's 21 rode a <a href="/news/articles/1679279/adele-grammy-awards-2012.jhtml">post-Grammy surge</a> to sales of more than 729,000 copies in February.<div class="player-placeholder right" title="'Bieber Live'" id="id:1687833" width="415" height="255"></div>Bieber's album also sold nearly twice the copies as its closest competition, Kenny Chesney's Welcome to the Fishbowl, which opens at #2 on the chart with an impressive 193,000 copies in its first week of release. Usually that number is more than enough to take #1, but not this week. Fiona Apple's first album in seven years, <a href="/news/articles/1686557/fiona-apple-idler-wheel-btts.jhtml">The Idler Wheel,</a> debuts at #3, selling nearly 72,000 copies, followed by another returning alt icon, the Smashing Pumpkins, who sold more than 53,000 copies of their <a href="/news/articles/1687831/smashing-pumpkins-oceania-billy-corgan.jhtml">Oceania</a> to take #4. The "Rock of Ages" soundtrack rounds out the top five, selling nearly 49,000 copies.<a href="/news/articles/1687847/usher-billboard-looking-4-myself.jhtml">Usher, last week's chart champ</a> (and Bieber's mentor), is in at #6 with his Looking 4 Myself album, which sold 48,000 copies in its second week. Adele's aforementioned 21 lands at #7 (more than 47,000 copies sold), followed by One Direction's Up All Night (more than 41,000 sold) and Luke Bryan's Tailgates & Tanlines (nearly 28,000 sold). Rush's Clockwork Angels closes out the top 10, selling nearly 27,000 copies.Other debuts on the chart include the Dirty Heads' Cabin by the Sea, which opens at #18 with sales of nearly 18,000 copies, "Once" star Glen Hansard's Rhythm and Repose (#21, more than 16,000 copies sold) and the soundtrack to Pixar's "Brave," which bows at #33, with sales of nearly 12,000 copies.And while the story of this week's Billboard chart is unquestionably Bieber, next week could be a different story. He'll face challenges from both Linkin Park's <a href="/news/articles/1688422/linkin-park-living-things.jhtml">LIVING THINGS</a> and Maroon 5's <a href="/news/articles/1688438/maroon-5-overexposed.jhtml">Overexposed,</a> both of which could make his reign a short-lived one. Can Bieber make it two weeks in a row atop the charts? We'll just have to wait and see.
